We have so many things to do in a day, but so little time. So one of the possible ways to cater this by waking up early in the morning. I know it sounds corny to some people but believes me, it can be a challenging task to do at the embryonic stage. Not only that we can be more productive where many things can be settled at the beginning of the days but also mentally healthy. Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise 

I came across a few hacks shared from the Instagram account: @before5. Thought I should share it here to remind myself and all of us. Here are some of the tips on how to get up earlier, before 5AM to be precise.


  1. Get to bed at a reasonable time which is anywhere between 9pm or 10pm. Don't forget to set your alarm around 4.45am. 
  2. Now then when your alarm goes off, put your headphone on and PUSH PLAY. Have a morning playlist of 5 songs that motivate you ready. Music is going to be the quickest way to snap your mind into a powerful state. On a personal note, when I get up, I quickly switch on the light in my room too. The darkness has a beautiful way of making my bed more attractive. I am not falling for that! 
  3. On your phone, you can create an album of the things you want to create, share, or build. You might want to use this feature to make it significant on your screen to motivate and get you excited about your life. 
  4. There is plenty of great motivational material on Youtube, so have your playlist of videos that interest you in particular. Sometimes, we can easily get hyped when the content really hits us. Awakening the giant they say.
  5. Extra point to underscore is to make sure you hydrate yourself with a glass of water before you continue with your morning routines. For Muslim, do not forget the morning supplication! Address your thankful to Allah SWT.
